G'Day - POSitouch….Outback - Manhattan…Coming Soon!
A 7 terminal POSitouch system, running on IBM SurePOS 500 hardware, will be installed soon at the highly anticipated first Outback Steak House in Manhattan, on 3rd Avenue at 57th Street. This is part of a national rollout of POSitouch and IBM in Outback.
Philadelphia Cricket Club Goes POSi
The exclusive Philadelphia Cricket Club, one of the oldest clubs in the country, founded in 1854, has selected POSitouch over a number of competitors, for our ease of operation, and ability to integrate with the club member billing system. The club consists of 1,300 members with two clubhouses and a third in the planning stages. The club has 27 holes of golf, 42 tennis courts, olympic size swimming pool, squash courts, softball fields, soccer fields, and dining for approximately 1,000 (combining both clubhouses).
Boulder Creek Steaks & Saloon Opens 8th Restaurant in Linden
Boulder Creek, the highly successful casual dining concept from Sbarro, opened its 2nd NJ location, and 8th overall, in high-traffick Linden, NJ, where business is brisk.
Boulder Creek uses POSitouch on IBM SurePOS 500's in this site. More sites are scheduled for rollout in 2002.
Big surprise….restaurateur Danny Meyer has another success on his hands at the at the 5-week old Blue Smoke, an authentic "barbecue joint" that is wowing capacity crowds on 27th Street in Manhattan, where POSitouch version 5.22 is handling the "high level" of customer transactions in a 12-terminal, multiple prep printer configuration.
Dallas BBQ Expands Again…and Again
Noted NY restaurant operator Herb Wetanson, operator of multiple concepts around the city, has two (2) new sites opening shortly…a Tony di Napoli in Time Square, and a Dallas BBQ on 23rd St. These sites will join other happy POSitouch Sites within the group, at the Dallas BBQ Time Square, Dallas BBQ 73rd & 3rd, and the Dallas BBQ in Washington Heights, on 166th Street.
CC Productions Installs POS System at 56,000 capacity Shea Stadium
CC Productions, a POS systems integrator in the hospitality market, has installed a system in New York's Shea Stadium. Buzz Cmaylo, cofounder of CC Productions, says having Shea on its customer install base is good for business given the venue 55,601 people.
Alain Ducasse Selects POSitouch for New York Operation

Jersey City, NJ – Susan Solleder, Executive Director of School Nutrition at Jersey City Public Schools, has been named NJ's “Food Service Director of the Year”. Solleder manages over 400 employees in serving nearly 25,000 lunches per day in 38 facilities.
Calabasas, CA – Cheesecake Factory, the multi-unit chain with average unit sales in excess of $10 million, has selected POSitouch as its POS system, and has rolled the system out to a number of restaurants. Cheesecake Factory is a “no reservations” full-service operation, with table waits of up to four hours.
