TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

Touch monitors do not respond to touch
Any or all touch monitors are not responding
If nothing is function on the entire system
Credit card is not functioning
If nothing is being displayed on the customer (pole) display
If cash drawer does not open
If any printer is not printing
If entire system, after reset, is not functioning

One of the touch monitors does not respond to touch
Recalibrate the touch screen
Reset the touch controller by turning the monitor "OFF", waiting 5 seconds, then turning the monitor back on, then recalibrate the touch screen.
Check to make sure that all connecting devices have power, i.e., credit card swipe, cash drawer, customer display, printer...
Check to make sure that there is power to the touch monitor.

If any or all touch monitors are not responding
Try to recalibrate each monitor.
Reset the Back Office Computer by turning it "OFF", waiting 5 seconds and then turning it back "ON".

If nothing is functioning on the entire system.
Reset the POS Driver Computer by doing an Immediate System Change on the Backoffice computer, waiting 10 seconds for the system to come up.
If this does not resolve the problem, shut down the POS Driver computer for 10 seconds, and restart it.

If credit card system is not working
Check to make sure phone cable connected to the credit card modem is attached properly
Check to make sure that the modem is turned on and there is a red light on it.
Check your Backoffice computer to make sure the Transaction+ credit card program is running. If not, restart it from the startup menu on the program list.

If nothing is being displayed on the customer (pole) display
Check to make sure cables are tightly connected
Check to make sure that the display is plugged in
Reset the pole display by pressing the reset switch or unplug the power supply to the display and then re-plugging it in.

If your cash drawer does not open
Check to make sure it is not locked
Check to make sure the printer next to it is "ON LINE" and neither light is flashing and that it has paper.
Check to make sure power supply is plugged in to both the cash drawer and power outlet.

If any printer is not printing
Check to make sure it has paper and/or power.
If "ALARM" light is flashing, this means there is a problem with the paper or the ribbon. Check to make sure that neither are jammed.

CCP @ 800-507-5554 to request emergency assistance. Remember, you need to have a maintenance contract or credit card ready to be charged to receive service.
